Our aim is to facilitate the provision of reliable and accurate information to various institutions and relevant entities ,  to meet the requirement of other regulators , and to  raise awareness of regulatory requirements.  The Regulation & Supervision Bureau (RSB) regulates the activities of  water, wastewater and electricity sectors in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. 
 

The RSB regulates all companies with activities related to water and electricity, and wastewater services..

ADSSC operates under a Licence granted by the Bureau .Its business is primarily regulated by the RSB under the provisions of the following laws: 

Law No (2) of 1998 converning the formation of the Regulation and Supervision Bureau
Law No. (17) for the year 2005 concerning the  establishment  the Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services
 
Law No. (18) of 2007 amending some provisions of Law No. (17) for the year 2005 concerning the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services.
Law No. (19) of 2007 amending some provisions of Law No. (17) for the year 2005 concerning the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services.
Law No. (12) of 2008 amending some provisions of Law No. (17) for the year 2005 concerning the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services.

The Licence sets out the conditions ADSSC must adhere to in order to ensure the protection of the environment, securing public health, and serving the interests of customers.

The Licence, granted by the Regulation & Supervision Bureau, came into effect on June 21, 2005, with the latest amendment effective from January 1, 2014. The Licence contains 36 conditions that ADSSC must follow regarding the activities of wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal. 

Furthermore, ADSSC has to meet the requirements of other regulators, such as the Environment Agency of Abu Dhabi (EAD) and other government agencies. .

In terms of Licence Condition (12) ADSSC must comply with all regulations and amendments issued by Regulation & Supervision Bureau.  These  include:

Incident Reporting Regulations 2008
Street Works and Access Regulations 2008
